HairKnowHow has developed a 5-point health analysis test, which elicits important biochemical, microscopic, colourimetric and visual health indicators.  

You can either choose to learn about your current hair health using a single analysis or, if you wish to, undertake an ongoing program of hair health monitoring by purchasing two or more analyses.

You can use your Complete Hair Analysis to:

Your Complete Hair Analysis includes a comprehensive health assessment report on your hair, the Andre Walker hair typing and core metric determination, written by Dr J Palmer. You will learn from your report:

• The current health of your hair, including an in-situ cuticle health check and cuticle loss rate check

• Your hair’s porosity is measured directly using our high-resolution microscopes

• The type of damage your hair is showing

• Your full hair type using the Andre Walker typing system

• Your average hair diameter and variance across your hair sample

• Your hair’s precise colour and gloss metric that you can use to help you assess your hair’s visual performance

• Amazing high-resolution/high magnification image of your hair (~1000X magnification)

• Personalised advice on how best to look after and maximise your hair health and beauty

We ship worldwide, including the US and UK. You should receive your kit within 3-5 working days, depending on your location.

Important things to consider before sending your hair sample:

We can only test the hair you send us.

If you would like an overall assessment of your hair, feel free to take your hair sample from your hairbrush or during a shower. Sampling from your hairbrush or shower is the easiest and quickest way to obtain your hair sample and is best if you would like a broad overview of your hair health, porosity and hair type. 

Or, you can send us a hair sample taken from a specific area of your scalp or the ends of your hair. This will allow an assessment of your hair from a particular location where you may have concerns.
