Do I need to Heat hair during a keratin treatment

Keratin treatment and heat

Do you really need to heat your hair during your keratin treatment?

Yes, you need to heat your hair during a keratin treatment. Heating your hair during a keratin treatment increases the rate of bond formation when using hydrolysed proteins and peptides. This chemical reaction increases the colour and shine of your hair resulting from the treatment. If your hair is not heated during a keratin treatment, there is little effect on lustre and colour.
